The astounding actress got caught in the sight of Tamil directors through her Fairever and Hayagrivas advertisements. She made her debut with Narendra Makan Jayakanthan Vaka in Malayalam. This prudent actress bagged Filmfare Best Telugu Actress Award in her very first movie in Telugu for her proficiency in acting. She is destined to be an actress and knowing her destiny to be an actress she determined to be the best actress. This astute actress grabbed the opportunities which came her way and made her stand so solid in whichever task she was assigned. Her debut in Tamil industry was with Ullam Ketkumey though M.Kumaran, son of Mahalakshmi was released first.
As an actress she showed a tremendous scope and interest to learn the nuances of acting through her step by step improvement to reach the position of a fine actress. Her passion for the art of acting was best portrayed in Ullam ketkume and Majaa. She committed a blunder in signing projects such as Sivakasi, Varalaru, Aalwar and Vel where the expanse for acting was too limited, perhaps she gained the fame of doing films with the top heroes Vijay, Ajith and Surya through these movies.
Asin was absolutely outstanding as a bubbly girl in Pokkiri and her best of best was Ghajini for the same kind of role. She was no less in Dasavatharam too. Her exceedingly excellent performance in Ghajini in Hindi exposed her to global fame and the pretty actress is concentrating on London dreams and The 19th step in Bollywood and Hollywood respectively. Although she likes to be in Tamil industry, she cannot be expected to be seen here as she is caught up with her international and Bollywood projects. Her unflinching endeavours to be a good actress brought her to be indomitable. All I can say is “we miss you here”.
