My first attempt of dry brush using charcoal. Although I have tried oil paint on canvas (the same dry brush technique), although it gives close-to-reality effect, my personal fav. is drawing on chart.
This drawing genuinely took around 6 hours. However the output is quite okay though not great. This work is just for my study (practice), strictly not for sale. I am happy I have a cheaper way to practice (on the top of it, it is giving a close to reality effect).

I have never heard of dry brush technique, with charcoal, does this mean you draw on the paper with charcoal and pencil (graphite) and then use a dry paint brush to get that smooth look and finish?
