Karmaveerar PerunThalaivar Kamarajar – a present to the peasants and panacea to the poor (poem)

My Pencil Sketch of the patriot

The leader who made his entry,
from such an obscurity;
with the only objective to eradicate poverty,
the poverty with his sheer creativity,
a creativity which was well planned,
well planned with his charitable activities,
exclusively targetted to help the peasantry.

He came up with an Irrigation Scheme,
a scheme to uplift the clan of peasantry.
The Land Selling Act & Tenancy Protection Act,
Acts to secure the poor farmers,
the farmers who innocently yielded,
who yielded to the landlords and their insatiability.
These acts would not have invoked,
had his activities had not been scary.

The aspect of industrialisation,
a better way to curb unemployment,
that was his conception,
the conception about industrilization.
His ideas were inundating,
with which he started permeating,
permeation through the large industries,
paving way for medium and small industries.

He paid heed to his inner person,
which kept echoing Congress’s mission.
When he realised there was a distraction,
he made a stubborn decision,
a decision to emphasize Congress’s vitalisation,
merely by seeking resignation.
As a sign of reverance to his decision,
several leaders exhibited appreciation.
A few like Bahadur Shasthri & Muraji Dess
trademarked their passion for his determination;
trademarked it by abiding by his decision.

His image among public,
had never been an issue.
His service to the public,
had always been his bliss.
With upliftment of the society as his only mission,
imprisonments had never been his concern.
He forewent his family,
with a pure soul,
with a sole goal,
to create a healthy society,
a society so healthy,
healthy enough to be devoid of poverty.

“Thank you for your time & Have a great day”
