Have you ever wondered how Facebook could make a difference to the business that you perpetrate online. Twitter and Facebook are popular social websites, alright how could it be made used effectively to make money online. Have you come across Twitter, it is absolutely amazing to hear from all directions how it could serve to be the best tool for any online business – just microblogging and what a power.

If this is true to what extent is this true? Anyway my first interest is Facebook, therefore I really made my mind to explore Facebook. This article is just a result of my short research on how people make money online. First of all Facebook is a social website that connects people from various streams.

Have you noticed the open forum? Any member in your friend’s list could gain access to this open forum, or all your activities such as result of the games played and quizzes attended will be published in the forum. In this news feed column, there are four options and each one is dedicated for posting link, photo, video and event. Of all these my favourite is link and video and that can take you a long way. Of course a picture is worth a thousand word, perhaps if you try to paste the url along with it, it appears like a comment, so I am not much impressed. There are 2 other options named Humshakal, an interesting application for people who are interested in whiling away time online. Meanwhile there is another option called “Networked blogs”, actually good for bloggers, let us discuss about it later.

If you are attempting to maintain one account and perpetrate both your social networking and business activity it is possible. All that you have to do is create a list for your friends and business contacts separately and you can have distinct access to both the groups and this way you can create as many groups as you intend. If you click on the list created you can the see the activities of the people who belong to the group.

Groups in Facebook – Now you can reach your target audience with no much struggle. Look for groups of your interest, for instance filter groups with a keyword say “beauty” if you run something related to beauty. Just join the groups and post the link. You have a hell lot of people to display your content, just as simple as that. As long as you have a good content you can expect a good traffic this way. Meanwhile a simple idea would be to create to group for yourself and publicise it as well, so that in a while for the number of members that has joined your group you do not have to visit another group to paste your link.

Networked blogs - Networked blogs is a directory which has a group in Facebook. This is an application that pops out near your News feed. This serves just as another group. If you are a blogger you can upload your blog with them, perhaps you need a Facebook account to do this. They give you an option where people who like your blog can follow it. One more thing is that they provide a lovely widget and that can be displayed on your blog. In addition, you really do not have to cut copy paste the url of your article if you are a member of Networked blogs. If you click on the small icon (indicates Networked Blogs), it will display the latest articles and it’s links. Simple, select what to be displayed and publish it.

Pages and notes - just another way to reach your friends. This is just like an option found in Facebook. Pages notify you with the moves of popular groups and groups that you belong. It also notifies you with the activities of people who are regular users of Facebook.
